Last week, CES took over Las Vegas and brought together a staggering 130,000 attendees and 4,000 exhibitors. It was a whirlwind of a week, with the spotlight shining on artificial intelligence, electric cars, the latest in computers, and smart homes. But what really stole the show was the rapid growth of digital health, as people are increasingly seeking innovative ways to take control of their well-being.

Another exciting development was in audio technology, with Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast taking center stage. The impact of these advancements is already being felt, with big players like Samsung, Microsoft and Intel incorporating them into their products. It signifies a new era of connectivity and with many more products showcased at CES scheduled to hit the shelves in 2024, its clear the bar is being set for the future.

Connectivity and healthcare intersect in a product that is very dear to my heart as I’ve been working on its development for the best part of a decade. Hearing aids with LE Audio and Auracast capabilities will have a revolutionary impact for the hearing impaired and I am proud to say that GN is leading the way in connectivity with new introductions, ReSound Nexia and Beltone Serene.  I couldn’t help but feel proud to see these products represented alongside our partners on the biggest consumer tech stage in the world.

I couldn't resist stopping by the Bluetooth booth to check out the latest Auracast products and to experience a demonstration of how this technology works. From earbuds to headsets and of course hearing aids, the improved sound quality and extended battery life of Bluetooth LE Audio and the broadcast opportunities afforded by Auracast are truly game-changing.

As I wrap up my time at CES, I'm excited to bring back a wealth of knowledge and a stack of business cards. The future is here, and I can't wait to see how it unfolds in the coming years. Stay tuned for more updates as I dive into the world of cutting-edge technology!
