Recently, ReSound returned to AAA AudiologyNOW! in Phoenix, Arizona, to raise awareness around the promise of Smart Hearing technology for audiologists and users. With a renewed focus on transforming the user experience, GN ReSound Chief Audiology Officer Dr. Laurel Christensen and her team hosted a session for attendees titled “Bringing Smart Hearing Aids to Your Practice and Patients.”

While ReSound continues to make strides in bringing innovative technologies to the hearing care industry, we still see an opportunity to solve some of the main obstacles that stand in the way of even higher user satisfaction. ReSound’s presentation at the AudiologyNOW! conference focused on addressing these obstacles through the introduction of a Smarter Fitting solution, part of ReSound’s 5th generation 2.4 GHz technology, which will bring solutions to these common challenges in hearing care:

  • Preferred Fit: Today, hearing aid fitting is a one-way process that does not account for real-world input. As a result, users do not get the full value of their hearing aids – but that will all change with new technologies that allow users to get their hearing aids fine-tuned in real-life situations.
  • Fitting Process: Currently, audiologists are spending more time on fittings and less time counseling users, a key component to user satisfaction. There is a need for more efficient fitting processes that free up the audiologist’s time so they can dedicate more time to counseling.

Looking toward the future of hearing health, ReSound is embracing a smarter way of fitting that solves these key obstacles and fosters a deeper relationship between audiologist and user. To learn more, visit www.resound.com/smarthearing.
