On August 10, Mogens Elsberg (54) took over as GN Netcom’s new CEO. He comes to GN with solid management experience from international heavyweights like IBM and Microsoft, but also from Danish companies such as Aston Business Solutions, and most recently a position as interim CEO and co-owner of Pensio.

Drawn to world-class technology

Only a few minutes after the news of GN Netcom’s new CEO was announced to the NASDAQ OMX Copenhagen, GN Netcom employees had the chance to meet Mogens Elsberg in person. At the staff meeting, he shared what made him accept the job at GN Netcom:

“GN Netcom to me is a company that develops and markets world-class technology. I was very thrilled and excited when the recruitment agency called me. This was a job I really wanted,” Mogens Elsberg said.

Mogens Elsberg’s management experience is extensive from positions as head of organisations and markets at regional as well as global levels in international technology and software companies.

“I’m truly looking forward to becoming a part of GN Netcom and to show the world that we really CAN deliver innovative, world-class products,” Mogens Elsberg said at the staff meeting.

Broad experience benefits GN Netcom

Chairman of GN Store Nord’s Supervisory Board, Per Wold-Olsen, is very pleased with the choice of Mogens Elsberg as the new CEO for GN Netcom, and he looks forward to working with him. In connection with the announcement of GN Netcom’s new CEO, Per Wold-Olsen also expressed his expectations for their collaboration:

“Mogens has broad experience from global technology companies and extensive knowledge of the market area in which GN Netcom operates and competes. This will be a big benefit to us when we conclude our restructuring and start focusing on company growth.”

As previously announced, former GN Netcom CEO Toon Bouten’s contract of employment expires at the end of September. Until the end of his contract, Toon Bouten will work closely together with the CEO in order to secure a smooth and efficient transition.
