AudiologyNOW 2008: Lots of Focus on GN ReSound

At the beginning of April, GN ReSound was an exhibitor at AudiologyNOW 2008 in Charlotte, North Carolina. The fair, formerly known as AAA, is the world’s largest gathering of audiologists and one of the most important conventions in the hearing instrument industry.

More than 200 exhibitors covered 280,000 sq.ft. of cutting-edge hearing instrument technology, audiological products and services. GN ReSound had a 5,000 sq.ft. stand and about 85 GN ReSound employees from the US subsidiary worked hard and enthusiastically to take good care of the more than 2,500 visitors who made their way through the GN ReSound stand during the three day-event.

No doubt this was the best AudiologyNOW experience for GN ReSound since the launch of the groundbreaking ReSoundAIR back in 2003. We had a very nice, open stand, great innovative products and lots of customers,” said Ernst-Ulrik Haxthausen, VP Product Management GN ReSound.

Many Positive Comments
The presentation of the new innovative Invisible Open Technology concept be by ReSoundhelped GN ReSound attract a lot of attention and positive comments from the visitors, a clear sign that the company is back as an innovative hearing instrument manufacturer.

“People were literately standing in line to visit our stand. One of the events that attracted the most attention was the presentation of be by ReSound. But also the world’s smallest BTE hearing instrument, dot by ReSound launched in January and ReSound Ziga got a lot of attention from the many visitors,” said Ernst-Ulrik Haxthausen.

Other New Products
At AudiologyNOW, GN ReSound also presented the Azure Silhouette, which is a new version of the very popular premium hearing instrument ReSound Azure. Featuring a new BTE housing, the ReSound Azure Silhouette advances the cosmetic appeal and incorporates a number of practical enhancements to further ease fitting and patient comfort. Sparx, a super power BTE, and a power version of dot by ReSound were also presented as part of GN ReSound’s innovative product portfolio.
